Zirconium Diboride
?
Zirconium Diboride is a high refractory covalent clay with a hexagonal structure. This ceramic has a melting temperature at 3246 degrees Celsius, making it ultra-hightemperature (UHTC). Due to its excellent resistance against high temperatures and low density (6.09g/cm3) it makes a great candidate for high-temperature aerospace use such as rocket propulsion or hypersonic flight. It is highly thermally and electricallyconductive, and has many similarities to hafnium triboride and titanium diboride.
Below are some key characteristics
Zirconium Diboride Powder
Zirconium boreide is a naturally occurring, hard-gray crystal. Three main components make up zirconium boride: zirconium biboride or zirconium diboride; zirconium tribromide (zirconium diboride); and zirconium-boride. High temperatures are only possible for zirconium boreide. Industrial use is the predominant application of zirconium-boride. Zirconium Diboride comes in various forms: a grey or hexagonal crystal, as well as powdered. Its melting point ranges between 3040 to 3060. Zirconium Diboride has the ability to withstand extremely high temperatures. It is highly resistant at both normal and high temperatures. Excellent resistance to high temperatures, excellent shock resistance, and low resistance against oxidation. Metal luster. This material has a metallic nature. The resistance of this metal is slightly better than that of zirconium. This metal can be stored at almost any temperature, even after being heated. It can be sintered even though the melting point of this material is high.
Use of
Zirconium Diboride Powder
1. Zirconium boride is an excellent strategic material. The material has good thermal conductivity, hardness and resistance to oxidation. It is used in thermal protection, high-temperature electrodes and heat trap pipes to reentry aircraft.
2. Zirconium Diboride is also a good choice for aerospace applications. This material is especially well-suited to use on bearing balls.
3. Because of its metal-like conductivity (3245degC and melting temperature), zirconium dioxide is an excellent candidate material for thin films electrical components.
4. Zirconium bore is commonly used in aerospace, military and nuclear industries. Zirconium Diboride may also be used as a coating for rolling balls or other solid materials. High-density composites of carbon fiber reinforced zinc dimoride have a high density, while those made from silica carbide reinforced zirconium dysboride are fragile and subject to extreme damage.
