Introduction to Chromium Carbide Cr3C2 pulp
Chromium carbide
This organic compound has the molecular arrangement Cr3C2 (molecularweight 180). It is a grey powder having a homobic system. A =2.821. B =5.52, C =11.46. It has an 1890 melting point and 3800 boiling points. Load 50g micro-Vickers hardness is 2700 kg/rnrn2, and thermal expansion coefficient of 10.3×10-6/K.
It has good corrosion resistance and wear resistance. It is also known as type cermet. Because of its outstanding high temperature properties, it is used extensively in thermal spraying material for metal protection and as an additon to the cemented carbbid industry.
Chromium Carbide Cr3C2 pulp has physical properties
The excellent characteristics of chrome carbide include high melting points, strong chemical stability and thermal toughness. The inhibitor of grain growth can be done with chrome carbide.
Additionally, chromium carbide is an excellent abrasion resistive of explosive bonding agents additives. It’s widely used in electronics and aerospace industries, as well as high-temperature resistant coatings, aerospace, and other industries.
The most common type of surface coating for cutting tools is Chromium Carbide. The material’s durability is due to the importance of Chromium carbide (a precipitated part in FeCr-c alloy).

Chromium Carbide Cr3C2 Pulver Preparation
Carbonization and oxidation of metal chromium pulver:
The carbon Black was ground at 13.5%64% (mass), to produce a powder 325 mesh of metal chromium. It contains more carbon than 11.33 percent (the theoretical combination). The oil is mixed with a Ball Mill and dried. You can use between 1% and 3% stearic for the forming oils. Limit the pressure of your mold to 1 T/cm2. For molds of graphite disks or crucibles pressurized molding powder may be used.
It is Cr3C2 + 3Cr Cr2C
Applications of Chromium carbide Cr3C2 a powder
1. These additives can be used to make carbide additions like the tungsten-carbide based carbide grain refiner. They are useful in mechanical and mining processing.
2. You can use them in welding additives. This welding rod, made of chromium caride, can be used in surface welding certain equipment like jaw plates, coal mills and ball mills. This could increase the equipment’s lifespan by severalfold.
3. It is used to thermally spray metals in order to protect the surfaces.
