Chromium Powder is a metallic silver with some grayish hues (body-centered cubic-crystal system).

Particle Size: 53-125um. (FSSS).
Chromium a steel-gray, shiny, hard metal can be found in a wide range of applications as a catalyst and in alloys. For the production of stainless steel as well as many other useful alloys, chromium can be used in steel hardening. This is what gives glass its emerald color. The air does not react with Chromium, so it is safe to use even under extreme conditions.
What does chromium Powder mean?
Chrome powder (body-centered cubic crystal system) is a light-colored, silvery-white metallic with dark grey tones. Chrome melting point = 1857 Chromium boiling points are 2672
Chromium density D28 7.20. Insoluble in dilute sulfuric and dilute chloric acids, water, nitric or aqua regia. This chemical symbol, Chromium (chemical symbol Cr), has an Atomic Number of 24. It is part of the VIB Group in the periodic table. Named after the Greek word “color”, the element’s name is derived from the Greek term meaning “color” because all chromium compounds can be colored. One material is steel-gray, the hardest element in nature. The 17th-highest chromium content in the Earth’s crust is 0.1%. Natural chromium free of charge is very rare. It occurs mainly in chrome-lead mine ore. There has been no evidence of industrial poisoning. The powder has virtually no adverse effects on the human body. However, hexavalent chrome ions can be carcinogenic. Storage of iron drums lined by polyethylene plastic bags and packing them in these drums should only be done in clean, dry warehouses. Do not transport or store with acidic substances. Dry powder and sand can be used to extinguish fire.

How is Cr Powder manufactured?
To produce chromium, the process of calcination is used to transform chromium dioxide into sodium trioxide. The sodium chromate solution is then leached into sodium citrate solution with water and manufactured using electrolysis.
The electrolysis method: sodium chromate can be used as a compensation solution to electrolysis. Cathode solutions are 40g/L(Cr),90g/L-NH4) and the anodic solution 22g/L. (Cr). Chromium metal was made by the electrolysis stainless steel and Pb/Ag alloys for anode at temperatures of around 60. Current density is 8.6A/CrR12. Cell voltage is 4.8V. Because of the large amount of silica, aluminum, and other impurities present in chromite as an additive and cathode solution, the process produces a lot of slag. The slag also contains water-soluble Cr6+ which is very harmful to the environment.
In recent years, this process has been improved: first, the chromite gets converted by carbon into carbon-ferrochrome. Second, it’s oxidized using soda ash, dolomite, or other mixtures to produce sodium chromate. Third, sulfur is used to reduce the oxide to chromium. Then, it’s melted, sandblasted, then finished with aluminum in order to make metal chromium. This process has several advantages. It allows for less chromium to enter the smelting gas, which can reduce the amount of pollution. Additionally, it can produce more quality products.
Chrome Cr Powder HTML3_ :
Chrome is used in a wide variety of ways. As well as being light-resistant, chromium powder also has a heat-resistant coating that can be used for abrasives and glass. The tanning agents for leather are chromium dichromate, chromium-alum, and mordant. They also serve as dyeing pigments. Chrome plating can turn steel, copper, aluminium and other metals into corrosion-resistant surfaces. They are widely used in furniture and construction. Additionally, large amounts of chrome ore are used to create refractory substances. Refines high-temperature and resistance alloys. For electroplating, pure chromium can be used.
Storage Conditions of Chromium Cr Pulp:
Damp reunion can affect the performance of chromium Cr Powder dispersion, and its use effects. Therefore, chromium Cr should be stored in vacuum packed and kept in cool dry rooms. The chromium Cr must not be exposed to any air. Additionally, Cr powder should not be exposed to extreme stress.
Shipping and Packing of chromium Cr pulver:
We offer many packing options that are dependent on the amount of chromium cr powder.
Packing of Chromium Cre powder in vacuum packaging, 100g, 500g, 1kg/bag or 25kg/barrel. Or as requested.
