Product Performance of ETB 2-Tert-Butoxyethanole:


ETB has a mildly irritating effect on the skin. It also shows low photochemical reactions. This is a common ingredient in the coating industry to make emulsion-water dispense coatings. ETB is an effective dispersant/emulsifier due to its solvent HLB value near 9.0. ETB speeds up water-dispersing coated coats’ adhesion by increasing the drying speed, flatness, brightness, and drying time. ETB is very stable in terms of photochemistry due to its excellent tert-butyl structure. ETB has excellent storage stability and is water-dispersing. It is even more so in cold temperatures. ETB is used either to create solvents in inks or to print inks. This can greatly improve the rheology, quality, gloss and adhesion of printing.

2-TERT-Butoxyeethanol was used as ethanol and defoamer to improve drying speed, flatness, gloss, and fastness to adhesion of water disperse coating.

Tertbutyl can remove small particles and holes from paint films. It is high-quality photochemical safety. ETB is water-dispersible, and it has great storage stability. It is even more important in winter, when the temperature drops to below 20 degrees Celsius. ETC can improve gloss. ETB can be mixed with amino and nitrocellulose paints to enhance gloss. It reduces “orange peel”, which in turn increases gloss by between 2 and 6%. ETB can be used as either a solvent or a dye dispersant in printing inks. They include improved gloss, adhesion and speed printing. ETB can also be used for the extraction of fibers. ETB was used to 76% extract polyethylene fibres with mineral oils by Alien Signal. The percentage of mineral oils was reduced by 0.15%. ETB is a great cleaner for your home. After treatment, Asahi Electric Company (Japan), uses propyleneoxide. Once the KOH reaction completes, it gives rise to polyoxypropane mono butylether.
